In-Church Discipleship Training

In our last update, we mentioned how we began ministering in tent outreaches into Zulu areas with a Zulu pastor.

During a recent meeting on a Friday with that pastor, I shared the importance of training his church in discipleship so that they can reach people with the Gospel instead of relying only on tent outreaches. He became excited and wanted us to start teaching and training his people that very Sunday.

So Lisa and I began discipleship training with his church. We both taught a session each for five straight Sunday services in that pastor’s church. The people were very receptive and open to the teaching of the Word. Some people who visited received Jesus and were healed as well.

It seemed that the very favorite Sunday was when the topics Healing and Authority of the Believer were ministered. The people were very excited when they discovered from the Word that Satan is defeated and that he deceives people into believing that he is powerful. When they discovered from the Word that we have authority over Satan and his kingdom, which includes sickness, demonization, etc.; they were excited. (See Matthew 10:1,7-8; Matthew 28:18-20; Mark 16:15-18; Luke 10:17-18)

In the African culture, the people are very much aware that Satan and his kingdom exist. They are used to witch doctors and hexes and curses. Finding out that they don’t have to be afraid of the witch doctors, that Jesus defeated the devil, and that Jesus has given us more power than Satan could ever give his followers was liberating to many.

At the end of the service, I had them exercise their Christ given authority and pray for the sick that were in the service. They were at first timid; but encouraging them to believe what they were previously shouting about, they acted upon what they learned. People were healed as a result of the disciples in the congregation praying for their neighbor. They didn’t have to wait for the anointed servant of God to come and have a crusade! They, themselves, are the anointed of God, whom God wants to flow through to touch people’s lives!
New Materials

On another note, we have uploaded recent teaching series onto our website.  Many have been blessed by the teachings on the website and have expressed their gratitude that everything is free. We often hear that many questions that people have or issues that people are going through are dealt with while listening to the teachings.

One of the new series was recorded in Massachusetts back in February during our ministry trip to the USA. It is entitled Receiving Your Inheritance. Everywhere we ministered while in the USA, we taught on this topic. It was truly life-changing for many people. The fruit was that many people were encouraged in their relationship with the Lord, many received revelation on how easy it is to allow Jesus to flow through us and many received miraculous healings. We thank God for all of the fruit.

Another series was recorded during one of our regular teaching times here in South Africa. It is entitled Are You Looking to the Life of Job or the Life of Jesus? If anyone is wondering, “Why is God doing this to me?” This teaching is a must!
