Dear Friend,
We sure wish we had some pictures for you this month, but the only pictures that we had were on my cell phone and my phone was accidentally washed in my pants. So we don't have any pictures of the ministry time in the Methodist church, but we do have some testimonies.
As we said last month, we had the opportunity on April 25th to minister in a Methodist church. Even though it was very different than what we were accustomed to, the ministry went very well. They all received the Word very well and many responded to be prayed for in the area healing. We saw many people instantly healed.
One young boy in particular suffered from frequent migraine headaches and he was having one at the time I prayed for him. Praise God, he was instantly healed! Everyone at that Methodist church asked for us to come back!
On April 18th we had the opportunity to minister at a different church and we saw tremendous results there as well. The Lord had me share the Word about living in rest based upon receiving the gift of righteousness which enables us to reign in life by Christ Jesus (Rom. 5:17). We saw many healed as people responded to the Word.
One man at the meeting was a Postman and he has to walk about 15 miles a day for his job delivering mail. He told me that his knee was giving out and has constant pain. As I laid hands on him and spoke to his knee, he was totally healed. After I finished, he grabbed my hands and looked at them and said that heat was flowing out into his knee and he felt his knee being restored. I didn't feel anything, but he sure did!
The interesting thing about this church was that all of the men came to me and all of the ladies went to Lisa. She saw multiple healings as well. I talked to the pastor of that church this week and he told me that his church has seemed different since that Sunday. He said that there has been a flow of the Spirit in the meetings since that time. Praise God for what He can do through us if we let Him!
We would like to thank all of our supporters who pray for us. We have received e-mails from some of our supporters who state that they pray for us and the ministry daily. You are an important part of what we see taking place.
On another note, we have some good news. We were able to get our visas for South Africa on May 7th. It has worked a little differently than when we got visas for other countries. In the past, we got our visas before we left the USA. But for South Africa, we were advised to come to South Africa on Tourist Visas first and then apply once in the country.
When we went to the appropriate government office on May 7th with all of the paperwork that we were told that we needed, the man who received our paperwork told us that he couldn't accept our visa applications. He said that we didn't have police clearance letters from the different countries where we have lived. I told him that the police clearance letters were in process and when we receive them, we will submit them to him immediately. I then showed him receipts for the fingerprinting we had done at the local police station and the post office receipts for mailing them to the FBI.
After I said that, he briefly looked through our paperwork and approved our visas immediately while I was sitting there before him. Praise God for His favor! The visas were supposed to take a month to process. We now have visas through April 30, 2011 and we'll be able to renew them. Also, the Methodist church helped us with a letter of recommendation for visas.
As our partners and friends, we would like to inform you of something that is of necessity. When we first arrived to South Africa, we quickly bought a car with our personal finances that we brought with us. It turned out that the car we purchased was not a good car at all, but had many problems. Fortunately, we were able to return the car to the dealership. Since living in South Africa for two months, we have come to realize that many things, especially cars, are two to three times more expensive than in the USA.
It is inevitable that we need to raise more money for a safe and reliable car so that we can be busy about the work of the ministry. In case you aren't aware of it, South Africa isn't the place for an unreliable car. Many places you have to drive through as fast as possible and don't stop for anything.
Just the other night at about 11 PM, armed guards from our neighborhood shot at someone three times, right outside our kitchen window in the lot over our fence. I'm not saying this to scare you or to make you feel sorry for us, but so that you understand that a better car is not a luxury but a necessity.
We aren't living in fear but we are trying to live in wisdom. I remember Bobby Crow, a missionary, once told me, "It is much easier to believe God for a good car than to believe God to keep a bad car running."
To give you an idea, a 2004 Toyota Corolla 1.4 with over 100,000 miles is $12,200 in South Africa. Comparably, in the USA, the blue book value on that car is around $6500.
I wanted to inform you before, but I wanted to make sure that we got our visas before raising funds for a car. Now that we know we aren't going anywhere, we feel comfortable in going forward.
Right now, we have $6200 in personal cash for a car. We need to raise at least $6000 in extra funds so that we will be able to push forward with the work of the ministry.
If people were to give an extra $50, $100, $1000 or whatever they desire to give, it would go a long way in helping meet this need.
If you feel led of the Lord to help us with the extra funds that we need for the car, you may do so in two different ways. You can go to our website by clicking on the donate link where you can donate online using your credit or debit card. You may also write a check and mail it to us at:

Remember though, please don't transfer your normal giving and direct it to help meet the car need or the usual ministry needs will go unmet. Any funds received that are in excess of the cost for the car will be used for general ministry purposes.
If you haven't become a monthly partner with KEMI Inc., prayerfully consider becoming a partner. If you would like, you may even become a partner online where each month, your donations will be automatically sent to our ministry.
Also, on our website, you can find out more information, watch video teachings and testimonies, listen to audio teachings, and more. We will update our website as soon as we are able. We haven't had reliable internet as yet. We waited 5 weeks for our telephone line and we are waiting now 2 weeks for reliable internet. We appreciate your patience and understanding.
With your help, KEMI Inc. will be able to increase its ministry throughout the world. Remember, none of this is possible without you. You make it possible to reach people with the Good News of the Gospel and to train ministers. We thank God for you and those whose lives are being changed, they thank you too!
Co-Laborers in Christ,
Sean and Lisa Michaud
